About the role

Location: Flexible across SEE; preference for Zagreb, Belgrade, Ljubljana Business unit: Consulting Level: Senior Associate

Join PwC’s growing Retail, Consumer & Digital Consulting practice in Southeast Europe. You will support clients on commercial, operational and digital transformation challenges across retail and consumer industries.

This is a client-facing consulting role for candidates who can structure problems, analyse data, develop recommendations and independently manage project workstreams - not solely a marketing, reporting, PMO or digital-execution role.

What you’ll do

• Support projects across commercial strategy, digital and AI, customer experience, e-commerce, omnichannel, supply chain and operating-model transformation.
• Own defined workstreams from analysis and hypothesis development through client-ready recommendations and implementation planning.
• Conduct market, customer, performance and digital-maturity analyses.
• Develop business cases, financial analyses, roadmaps, KPI frameworks and executive presentations.
• Support workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
• Identify and prioritise digital, data and Agentic AI opportunities based on business value and feasibility.
• Contribute to proposals, client presentations, market research and practice-development materials.
• Work with PwC specialists across strategy, technology, data, AI, cybersecurity and workforce transformation.

What we expect from you

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, commercial excellence, transformation, e-commerce, retail operations, FMCG analytics or a comparable role.
• Experience or strong exposure to retail, consumer goods, FMCG, e-commerce or related sectors.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Ability to turn analysis into practical recommendations - not only reports or dashboards.
• Experience preparing business cases, executive presentations, transformation roadmaps or management decision materials.
• Commercial and financial understanding of revenue, margin, cost, pricing, promotions, investment and operational-performance drivers.
• Experience independently managing a workstream, analytical package or stakeholder group.
• Interest in digital transformation, data, AI and technology-enabled business change.
• Professional fluency in English; Croatian or another SEE language is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel across SEE when needed.

Candidates from marketing, digital or operational roles should demonstrate experience influencing broader commercial, operational or technology decisions.
