What this job involves:

As Manager, Design at JLL, you'll lead our design teams in Costa Rica and Gurugram while shaping the creative vision behind materials that drive global sales pursuits for a Fortune 200 company. Working closely with our Creative Directors, you'll oversee the strategic art direction, design, and development of sophisticated presentations, proposals, infographics, and other business-critical materials that directly impact revenue opportunities. This position demands excellence in people management, stakeholder engagement, and creative leadership, with particular emphasis on designing compelling PowerPoint presentations and proposal documents that elevate JLL's presence in competitive pursuits. You'll partner virtually with Sales and Pursuit teams, maintaining seamless communication to ensure creative alignment and adherence to best practices. You'll also oversee end-to-end video management, including editing, motion graphics, and production. What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead and inspire design teams across Costa Rica and Gurugram, fostering a collaborative culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting each team member's professional development

• Manage team capacity, workload distribution, and resource allocation strategically to ensure high-quality output while preventing burnout and maximizing productivity across time zones

• Partner with Sales, Pursuit, and Sales Enablement teams to develop creative strategies for high-stakes proposals and presentations, ensuring design solutions align with business objectives and win themes

• Design sophisticated PowerPoint presentations, proposal materials, and custom graphic elements that visually capture key messages and elevate JLL's brand presence with innovative aesthetic excellence

• Direct video and motion graphics projects from concept through completion, applying technical expertise, platform knowledge, and forward-thinking approaches to emerging technologies

• Participate in and lead brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams, providing thought leadership that translates complex business strategies into compelling visual narratives

• Ensure all work meets quality standards — on brief, on time, and on target to business objectives — while upholding and innovating within brand guidelines and operational procedures

• Provide art direction and mentorship to team members, troubleshooting technical challenges and supporting creative development to strengthen their skills and confidence

• Collaborate proactively with department management and senior leadership, addressing potential issues before they impact service commitments and maintaining exceptional client relationships

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Art, Design, or Visual Communications

• Minimum 8 years of professional graphics experience, preferably in a corporate or highly-matrixed environment

• Minimum 5 years of people management experience leading creative teams

• Proven leadership in design, video production, motion graphics, and project management with demonstrated business acumen

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint

• Strong video editing and digital media expertise with demonstrated presentation animation skills

• Exceptional design and page layout capabilities, including the ability to create custom graphic elements from scratch using appropriate applications

• Outstanding communication skills for professional brainstorming and collaboration with cross-functional and multi-level management teams

• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments while maintaining exceptional organizational skills and client service

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Socialive and Descript platforms

• Background supporting global sales pursuits or proposal development in commercial real estate or professional services

• Motion graphics and 3D animation experience

• Experience managing remote or distributed creative teams across multiple time zones

• Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated presentation design and innovative visual storytelling

• Project management certification or formal training in creative operations
