Sobre este puesto de LinkedIn Appointment Setter / Cold Messaging Specialist en Remote Recruitment
About the Role
Our client is a specialist UK-based business operating within the asset finance sector. They are looking for a highly articulate and commercially aware LinkedIn Appointment Setter / Cold Messaging Specialist to support their business development activity.
This is not a high-volume, copy-and-paste outreach position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting carefully researched LinkedIn outreach, building relationships with senior professionals within the finance sector, generating strong response rates, and ultimately booking qualified meetings for the company’s directors.
The business operates in a highly relationship-driven and reputation-sensitive market. For that reason, outreach needs to feel personalised, credible and consultative rather than aggressive or sales-led.
The role would suit someone who genuinely understands how to use LinkedIn as a relationship-building and appointment-setting platform and can explain not only what they are doing, but why a particular outreach strategy is likely to work.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately 50 high-quality, personalised LinkedIn outreach messages per day.
- Research prospects before making contact and tailor messaging accordingly.
- Build rapport with senior professionals across the asset finance and broader financial services sectors.
- Re-engage prospects who may already have an existing relationship or previous conversation with the directors.
- Generate strong response rates from LinkedIn outreach.
- Convert conversations into qualified appointments for the company’s directors.
- Manage LinkedIn connection requests strategically and consistently.
- Develop appropriate messaging sequences for different prospect types.
- Follow up with prospects in a professional and natural manner.
- Engage with relevant prospects' LinkedIn content where appropriate to increase familiarity and strengthen relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, responses and appointments.
- Review outreach performance and adapt messaging based on results.
- Communicate the strategy behind different approaches and demonstrate commercial reasoning.
- Initially submit messaging and outreach strategies for approval while learning the company’s tone of voice.
- Gradually take greater ownership of conversations once trust and consistency have been established.
- Learn how the directors communicate and ensure messages sound authentic and aligned with the company.
- Potentially manage outreach through a director's LinkedIn account once sufficient trust has been established.
What the Client Is Looking For
The client is looking for someone considerably stronger than a basic administrator or junior appointment setter.
They want someone who understands that successful LinkedIn outreach is about credibility, research, positioning and communication, rather than simply sending large numbers of messages.
Finance Sector Experience
Previous experience working within financial services, finance recruitment, banking, asset finance or another finance-related environment is highly desirable and considered important for this role.
Candidates do not necessarily need direct asset finance experience, but they should be comfortable communicating with professionals working in a sophisticated financial environment.
Strong LinkedIn Knowledge
LinkedIn will be the primary platform used in the role.
The ideal candidate will already have:
- A professional and credible LinkedIn profile.
- A good understanding of LinkedIn networking.
- Experience conducting direct outreach.
- Knowledge of connection-building strategies.
- An understanding of how profile credibility influences response rates.
- Experience generating conversations and meetings through LinkedIn.
A strong existing LinkedIn presence would be particularly advantageous.
Strategic Thinking
The client does not simply want someone who follows instructions.
They want someone capable of looking at a prospect and deciding:
- Why should we approach this person?
- What will make them respond?
- What angle should we use?
- What previous relationship or information can we reference?
- Should we message them immediately or build familiarity first?
- How should we follow up?
- Why is this approach likely to work?
Candidates must therefore be able to demonstrate strategic thinking alongside execution.
Excellent Written Communication
The company's market is highly relationship-driven.
Messages must therefore be:
- Professional.
- Natural.
- Concise.
- Articulate.
- Personalised.
- Commercially intelligent.
- Appropriate for senior finance professionals.
The client wants outreach that feels like the continuation of a genuine business conversation rather than traditional cold prospecting.
Results Focus
Performance will primarily be assessed on:
- LinkedIn response rates.
- Quality of conversations generated.
- Number of qualified appointments booked.
- Overall effectiveness of outreach strategies.
The successful candidate should therefore be comfortable working towards clear measurable outcomes.
Attention to Detail
This is a quality-over-quantity role.
Rather than sending thousands of automated messages, the expectation is approximately 50 well-considered messages each day.
Candidates need to be thorough, organised and capable of researching prospects before contacting them.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate is likely to have:
- Previous LinkedIn outreach or appointment-setting experience.
- Exposure to financial services or another professional services environment.
- Excellent written English.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Confidence communicating with senior professionals.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong research skills.
- Experience generating appointments through written outreach.
- A credible and professional LinkedIn presence.
- An analytical mindset and interest in improving response rates.
- The ability to understand and reproduce another person's communication style.
- The confidence to recommend different outreach approaches rather than simply waiting for instructions.
- A trustworthy and dependable working style.
