This position will start late October.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for sorting and removal of culls, foreign matter, unhusked nuts, etc.

Assists the Factory Operators upon request.

Must be able to lift at least twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted.

Cleans and sanitizes factory equipment and surrounding areas as directed.

Performs simple disassembly and reassembly of equipment as needed to perform cleaning duties.

Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices for food processing.

Follows all company safety standards and procedures.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Must be able to work night shifts and extended daily work hours.

Regular attendance is required for the position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Must have good communication skills and be able to follow verbal/written instructions.

Previous experience in a factory environment preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Seldom: Reaching overhead, pinching, gripping, squatting, kneeling, climbing, crouching, stooping, twisting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling >25 lbs.

Occasional: Standing, walking, finger dexterity.

Frequent: Wrist movement, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.

Constant: Sitting, must be able to see in color, depth perception, repetitive motion.

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and co-workers.

Must be able to read, write, speak, receive verbal and written instruction, and apply basic math skills.
