Job Summary: Responsible for maximum performance results in three areas: managing employees, customer satisfaction and financial performance. Ensures the successful operation and growth of the studio.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $22.96 - $32.14 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

General Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and secure the yoga instructors and weekly class schedule while guiding and engaging all studio staff
• Obtain and maintain strong Yoga Instructor base that includes variety of instruction and styles
• Manage desk and instructor staff and cover front desk operations, facilitate instructor substitutions, and adjust client accounts, maintain and update mind body schedule for daily accuracy.
• Produce and promote the studio with self-created and curated yoga content, products, retreats, and workshop initiatives including but not limited to: flyers, newsletters, press releases, websites, social media, etc.
• Coordinate schedules and classes for special events, workshops, retreats, teacher training, and maintain an updated database in Mind Body
• Monitor discounts, memberships, and pack products. Assess attendance trends through queries, surveys, and student/teacher direct feedback.
• Mindful of activities and operations of the business and seeks ways to maximize revenue while minimizing risk to the company
• Enforce teacher polices and ensure compliance concerning insurance, liability and teacher certifications.
• Implement selling and product training techniques for all Sales Associates to achieve sales objectives. Implement contests or sales incentives monthly and recognize top performers.
• Develop staff in maintaining merchandise presentation of sales floor, in-store product knowledge. Ensure the studio is organized, clean, and presentable always.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the RTP POS & RPRO system and Mind Body software booking services.
• Implement weekly tasks and work assignments for all desk staff based on inventories, shipment, reporting needs, social media responsibilities, product displays, customer orders, back stock, paperwork, studio sanitation and cleanliness, etc.
• Create and maintain seasonal relevancy for weekly class schedule
• Support and organize the dates and location as well as payment of teachers as scholars for annual yoga teacher training peak classes, workshops a retreats
• Create origins budget for all additional programming
• Promote, support and maintain Aireal yoga program classes, Aireal yoga teacher training and the daily/weekly/monthly safety checks and washing of hammocks and all related equipment
• Maintain among all staff and members the three C’s of the yoga studio - cleanliness, consistency, convenience

Management Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Manage a team of 15-20 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Integrity & Compliance: Comply with Federal and California Labor law in phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.
• Commitment to Service: Achieve continuous improvement in operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Financial: Check and manage payroll for overtime, compliance with labor model. Create annual budget in line with financial goals directed by Retail Operations Senior Manager by discussing staffing levels; merchandise assortment, store layout, store operations, payroll projections and revenue projections.
• Safety: Establish, implement, and enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as State & Federal laws.

• Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with others
• Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Proven leadership abilities working in a team environment, ability to develop people.
• Self-motivated, guest oriented, works well under pressure
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence. 
• Knowledge of trends in the industry and adapting to our customer base.
• Flexibility to work hours determined by business levels and needs of retail outlets, under the direction of the Retail Operations Senior Manager. This may include holidays, weekends, and early morning or late evening work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 35lbs. Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three years supervisory experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in the Yoga Industry
• 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certificate
• RTP knowledge and experience
• Mindbody knowledge and experience

A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.
