We are seeking motivated Workshop Trade Assistant to join our team in Henderson on a casual basis.

This is a hands-on opportunity for applicants who are specifically working towards a Fitter & Machinist Apprenticeship in 2027. Successful candidates will work alongside our experienced workshop team, gaining valuable practical experience and demonstrating their suitability for a future apprenticeship opportunity!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting workshop crews with daily activities and job requirements
  • Supporting the manufacture and assembly of workshop components
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
  • Assisting with equipment, vehicle and general workshop maintenance
  • Supporting stock control, inventory activities and stock takes
  • Completing required paperwork and records
  • Participating in toolbox meetings and following all WHS requirements
  • Working collaboratively with supervisors and team members

What we’re looking for:

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a Fitter & Machinist Apprenticeship in 2027
  • A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
  • Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable undertaking practical, hands-on and physically active work
  • Ability to maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Previous workshop, mechanical or trade assistant experience is advantageous, but not essential

You will be working in a busy workshop environment, including standing, manual handling, use of tools and equipment. A safety-first mindset is essential.
