Why this role matters

At Truliant Federal Credit Union, the systems behind our people experience matter. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys turning complex Workday needs into practical solutions and wants to make a meaningful contribution through thoughtful system ownership.

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll serve as a technical subject matter expert for Workday HRIS, taking ownership of system administration, configuration, security, reporting, support, and continuous improvement across key HR modules.

Day to day, you’ll:

  • Evaluate business needs, prioritize enhancements, and recommend solutions that balance user experience, system-wide impact, compliance, and data protection.
  • Develop reports and dashboards, support users, and partner with HR, Information Security, and other teams on implementations and integrations.

Beyond that, you’ll monitor Workday releases and cyclical activities, improve internal processes, share risks and recommendations proactively, and use Workday Community and customer networks to stay current on best practices.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who combines hands-on Workday expertise with sound HR knowledge, analytical thinking, and a strong sense of ownership. You can move between detailed configuration work and clear conversations with business partners.

This role is a great fit if you have:

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Workday, including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, business process configuration, Security, Time Tracking, Talent, Compensation, and super user administration.
  • Experience managing and maintaining Role-Based, User-Based, and Job-Based Security Groups.
  • Experience working on creating Compensation Rules, Compensation Components and setting up compensation segments.
  • Experience in Workday cyclical activities including annual compensation review, performance reviews, release management and any upgrade cycles.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Workday HRIS, including employee records, pay and status changes, organizational structures, and system enhancements.
  • Ability to manage Workday Supervisory Organizations, Subordinate Supervisory Organizations, Locations, Companies, Cost Centers, Business Units, and organizational and cost center hierarchies.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, enterprise system integrations, reporting and analytics, data collection principles, information security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues, assess options, recommend solutions, communicate clearly, organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and use Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

You should also be comfortable working independently, handling sensitive employee information responsibly, and communicating risks, status, and recommendations to the right partners.

What sets you apart

You don’t need to check every box, but here’s what will help you thrive in this role:

  • A track record of turning Workday release changes and community insights into practical system improvements.
  • Experience leading cross-functional HR technology implementations or integrations from evaluation through testing and adoption.
  • A user-focused approach to training, support, dashboards, and process design that makes complex systems easier for others to use.

What you’ll get

We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally.

In this role, you can expect:

  • Meaningful ownership of a platform that shapes the employee experience across Truliant.
