Job Summary

The role is to lead our initiatives in partnership development, marketing strategy, and business growth within the SME banking segment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in partnership management, digital marketing, and business development, with a proven ability to drive results and foster collaborative relationships.


What you will be doing:


Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Work with GWB Marketing, Brand & Communications and relevant stakeholders to develop and execute marketing plans for the SME segment in Hong Kong.
  • Translate business priorities and customer insights into targeted marketing propositions, campaigns and initiatives to support customer acquisition, engagement and business growth.
  • Identify target customer segments and appropriate marketing approaches to strengthen customer reach and engagement.
  • Keep abreast of market developments, competitor activities and emerging marketing trends to identify opportunities and enhance marketing effectiveness.

Digital Marketing and Customer Engagement

  • Develop and execute integrated digital marketing initiatives across search, social media, online advertising and other relevant digital channels.
  • Oversee SEO, SEM, paid search and social media activities to enhance digital visibility, generate leads and support customer conversion.
  • Work with GWB Marketing and Brand & Communications to develop targeted digital campaigns and engaging content aligned with business and brand objectives.
  • Monitor campaign and customer engagement performance and leverage data and insights to optimize marketing effectiveness and customer experience.

Website and Content Management

  • Oversee the management and enhancement of EmB's website and digital content to support customer engagement and business objectives.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of relevant, engaging and customer-focused content across digital touchpoints.
  • Leverage website traffic and customer behaviour analytics to identify opportunities to improve user experience, engagement and conversion.
  • Ensure content is accurate, relevant and aligned with applicable brand and communication standards.

Business Partnership

  • Work closely with GCB teams and relevant internal stakeholders to leverage existing strategic partnerships and identify collaboration opportunities that support SME business and marketing objectives.
  • Support the development and execution of joint initiatives with financial institutions, technology providers, industry associations, government bodies and other relevant partners.
  • Coordinate joint marketing, customer engagement and other value-added initiatives with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with key partners and facilitate the implementation and ongoing management of agreed partnership initiatives.

Market Intelligence

  • Keep abreast of SME market developments, competitor activities, customer trends and relevant regulatory developments.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities that could support marketing, customer engagement and partnership initiatives.
  • Provide relevant market insights and recommendations to management and business stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Performance Reporting

  • Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance using relevant data and analytics.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with product, sales and business teams to ensure marketing activities are aligned with business priorities.

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure marketing and partnership activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies and established approval processes.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Brand & Communications and other relevant control functions on marketing materials, campaigns and partnership arrangements as appropriate.
  • Maintain appropriate governance and documentation for key initiatives, approvals and deliverables.

Team Leadership and Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead the Marketing and Business Partnership team, providing direction, coaching and support to drive effective execution.
  • Work closely with GWB Marketing, Brand & Communications, GCB, Sales, Product, IT and other stakeholders to deliver marketing and partnership priorities.
  • Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.

 
What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in partnership development, marketing, or business development, preferably within the banking or financial services sector
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and managing strategic partnerships.
  • A passion for driving business growth and enhancing the customer experience for SMEs.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; strong negotiation and contract management skill with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry is a plus.
