Vice President, Brand
Do you enjoy helping brands build relevance, strengthen reputation and connect with audiences through meaningful storytelling and integrated communications? Are you energized by counseling clients, shaping ambitious strategies and leading teams to create work that drives business impact?
As a Vice President, Brand at Zeno, you will lead integrated communications programs and client relationships for leading brands. Working closely with senior clients, account teams and cross-functional specialists, you will develop strategies that connect audience insights, culture and creativity with brand and business objectives.
This is an opportunity for an experienced communications leader to shape high-impact client programs, deepen client relationships, mentor talent and contribute to the continued growth of Zeno's Brand practice.
About the Role:
- Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic counsel, anticipating opportunities and challenges, and leading communications programs that support brand and business objectives.
- Brand Strategy & Storytelling: Develop integrated brand communications strategies, narratives and messaging that connect audience insights, cultural relevance and business priorities to create meaningful brand impact.
- Integrated Campaign Leadership: Lead integrated campaigns, product launches, brand moments and communications initiatives across earned, owned, social, creator, experiential and emerging channels.
- Media Relations & Executive Visibility: Provide strategic oversight of earned media and executive visibility programs, guiding storytelling, spokesperson strategy and media engagement that strengthen brand relevance and credibility.
- Business Growth & Client Development: Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships, expand scopes of work and introduce new capabilities while contributing to new business efforts across the Brand practice.
- Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead, mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative environment where people can learn, grow and do their best work.
- Financial & Operational Leadership: Oversee account performance, budgets, forecasting, staffing and resources while ensuring strong client service, high-quality work and sustainable business performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across creative, digital, social, creator, analytics and other specialty teams to bring together the right capabilities and deliver integrated solutions for clients.
About You:
- 10+ years of experience in public relations, communications, brand marketing or related fields within an agency or similar environment.
- Proven success leading integrated brand communications strategies and programs that support business and communications objectives.
- Demonstrated experience counseling senior clients and building trusted relationships with marketing, communications and executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, consumer behavior, culture and the evolving communications landscape.
- Experience leading integrated campaigns across earned, owned, social, creator, experiential and other communications channels.
- Strong earned media expertise, with experience guiding media strategy, executive visibility and brand storytelling programs.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling and presentation skills, including experience developing and presenting strategic recommendations to senior clients.
- Proven success identifying opportunities to grow client relationships, expand engagements and contribute to new business efforts.
- Strong financial and operational management skills, including experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, staffing and account performance.
- Experience leading integrated teams and collaborating across disciplines to deliver complex client programs.
- Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching and developing talent.
- Collaborative and adaptable leadership style with curiosity about culture, audience behaviors and emerging communications trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading communications for major consumer or lifestyle brands.
- Experience supporting major product launches, brand transformations or culturally relevant campaigns.
- Experience contributing to new business pitches, organic client growth or agency initiatives.
- Familiarity with data, analytics and emerging technologies that inform modern brand communications.
Pay Range: $115,000-$135,000 USD/yr.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
