What is the job?

To implement and support our Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) strategy across our manufacturing site in Ely. Working closely with teams across the business, you will play a direct role in reducing production downtime and helping to drive operational performance.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm

There are now 22 facilities across the world in 9 countries. Here in Ely, we are responsible for the Motion Control and Optical Tables product line.

Where you will be working?

Our purpose-built facility is just 12 miles from Cambridge, within the beautiful mediaeval city of Ely. There are train and bus links to Ely from Kings Cross and Liverpool Street London, and our site is within distance of Ely train station and Ely Bus station.

Requirements

What is essential to us…

• Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing engineering qualification
• + 2 years working in a manufacturing environment or demonstratable transferable skills
• Experience of implementing a side wide TPM strategy
• Able to read technical material from machine suppliers to set a TPM strategy.
• When required some practical maintenance skills to support the wider maintenance team under downtime conditions.
• Project management skills
• Ability to multitask and with support from the team manager set priorities of workload
• Clear communication with multiple groups, such as Production staff/leadership, maintenance staff, external contractors
• Influencing skills

What we would like you to do/ to see…

• Implement a site wide Total Preventative Maintenance system
• Schedule work orders for the maintenance team within our CMMS
• Manage service contracts
• Host external service engineers and contractors
• Plan routine preventive maintenance works
• Project management of facilities and maintenance projects
• When required, some hands-on work will be needed to support maintenance Engineers
• Data entry and management within our CMMS system
• Support with other administrative tasks for our facilities and maintenance team as directed by the team manager.
