Provides technical support to customers, field engineers, and certified technicians who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex computer systems and/or complex software. Responds to situations where standard documented processes have failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment and software. Reports design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineers/software engineering. May be involved in customer training and installations.  Provides direct support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature, such as with systems level software, and where the user may have a technical background.
