There are two Chevron companies operating in the Philippines: Chevron Holdings Incorporated (CHI) and Chevron Philippines Incorporated (CPI).
CHI is a shared services center providing transactional, processing, and consulting services in the areas of finance and accounting, information technology, supply chain management, human resources, downstream customer service and marketing. Established in 1998, CHI serves Chevron affiliates in six continents around the world. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the leading members of the shared services industry in the Philippines.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Technical Lead - Data Engineer. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.
**This is a managerial role with direct people leadership responsibilities.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for Data Engineering delivery, Enterprise Lakehouse adoption, and platform modernization.
- Leads roadmap execution, prioritization, stakeholder engagement, and technical governance while providing technical direction for Databricks adoption and Synapse migration initiatives.
- Works across product, architecture, engineering, and vendor teams to translate strategy into actionable plans, manage dependencies, and drive successful outcomes.
- Partners with stakeholders to align business priorities, technical capabilities, and delivery commitments while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and operationally sustainable.
- Provides leadership for planning, execution, and continuous improvement of data engineering capabilities, helping teams successfully adopt modern data platforms and engineering practices.
- Develops team capability through onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer, ensuring the organization has the skills, processes, and leadership needed to scale and sustain enterprise data engineering services.
- Serves as a key leader in driving collaboration, accountability, technical excellence, and delivery execution across a diverse set of teams, partners, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Platforms, or related technology roles.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, engineering initiatives, or large-scale data platform programs.
- Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-based data and analytics solutions using modern data platform technologies.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data pipelines, orchestration, storage, data integration, and platform operations.
- Experience developing and executing product roadmaps, managing backlogs, prioritizing work, and delivering outcomes through Agile methodologies.
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and executable delivery plans.
- Knowledge of modern Lakehouse architectures, data governance, security, and platform enablement practices.
- Experience leading platform modernization, migration, or transformation initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions, align priorities, and drive execution across technical and business organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments in a complex enterprise environment.
- Experience mentoring engineers, developing technical talent, and building high-performing teams.
- Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Services.
- Experience with Enterprise Lakehouse, data modernization, or large-scale Synapse to Databricks migration programs.
- Experience working with architecture, engineering, product management, and vendor teams to drive adoption of strategic platform capabilities.
