Job Title

Team Leader – Design & Engineering Production Hub, Philippines

Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefield is establishing a Design and Engineering Production Hub in the Philippines to support its Project & Development Services, Data Centre Group and Building Engineering Services teams. The Hub will provide modelling, drawing, engineering and document production support to hub offices, with an initial workload of international projects. Over time, it is intended to grow into a full design and engineering centre supporting hub offices with project delivery. The Team Leader is the first senior appointment in the Hub and is responsible for establishing, running and growing the team, and for the quality and timeliness of everything it produces.

Establish and lead the Production Hub as a dependable delivery extension of Cushman & Wakefield’s project teams. Build the team, set up production standards and workflows, manage workload across multiple hub offices and time zones, and ensure outputs are technically sound, coordinated and delivered on programme. Over time, develop the Hub’s capability from production support into design and engineering delivery.

Job Description

2.0 – Key Responsibilities:

2.1 – Hub Set-Up & Team Build

  • Lead the establishment of the Production Hub, including team structure, workflows and ways of working.
  • Support recruitment of the initial team of engineers, technicians and support staff, targeting a full team within six months.
  • Put in place onboarding, induction and training so new joiners become productive quickly.
  • Establish the software, IT and file management set-up needed for remote collaboration with hub offices, working with the BIM Lead.

2.2 – Production & Delivery Management

  • Receive, scope and resource work requests from hub offices, agreeing deliverables, hours and programme up front.
  • Plan and balance workload across the team, and across multiple projects, offices and time zones.
  • Track progress, hours and budgets against agreed scopes, and flag risks to programme or fee early.
  • Act as the single point of contact for hub office project leads on production matters.
  • Take a hands-on delivery role within own discipline where required.

2.3 – Technical Quality & Standards

  • Own the Hub’s quality management process, including checking, review and sign-off before issue.
  • Ensure outputs meet project standards, client requirements and the codes applicable to each project location.
  • Work with the BIM Lead to maintain consistent drawing, modelling and documentation standards.
  • Build a library of templates, standard details, calculation tools and lessons learned.
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, accuracy and turnaround.

2.4 – Capability Growth

  • Develop the Hub from drafting and modelling support toward design and engineering delivery.
  • Identify skills gaps and training needs, and build discipline depth within the team.
  • Provide resource plans and fee input for Hub-delivered scope to support hub office bids and proposals.
  • Build the Hub’s data centre and mission critical capability as the workload develops.
  • Contribute to the Hub’s business plan, growth targets and utilisation reporting.

2.5 – People Leadership & Collaboration

  • Line manage the Hub team, including objectives, performance reviews and career development.
  • Build a collaborative, accountable and delivery-focused team culture.
  • Develop strong working relationships with project teams across hub offices, including South East Asia, the UK and Australia.
  • Represent the Hub in internal discussions and project meetings as required.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline; Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as an Engineering Lead, preferably within a consulting, shared services, or global delivery environment supporting multinational organizations.
  • Proven experience managing global and multi-country projects involving Data Centers, Corporate Fit-Outs, Commercial Buildings, Industrial Facilities, or other engineering and architectural developments.
  • Strong expertise in project planning, design coordination, stakeholder management, budget oversight, risk management, and project delivery across all project lifecycle phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and client standards while delivering projects on time and within budget.
