Key Functions / Responsibilities

  • Act as a dedicated point of contact across the end‑to‑end supply chain process- consignment, coordinating activities from outbound logistics through to customer delivery and post‑delivery support, ensuring high service levels and compliance with Terumo Australia (TAUS) procedures.

  • Be responsible for stock and inventory governance at consignment sites, including regularly reviewing stock on hand against contractual AQ (agreed quantities) and following up on any discrepancies to ensure accuracy, compliance, and product availability.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (Sales, Clients, Customer Service, RAQA) and external partners (3PL, freight forwarders, hospitals and customers) to support operational continuity and long‑term collaboration.

  • Monitor product demand, inventory levels, and market requirements to support informed decision‑making on stock allocation, replenishment, and consignment strategies.

  • Manage end‑to‑end product lifecycle activities including system transactions, documentation, and coordination of product handling (e.g. inbound receipts, storage, distribution readiness, and quality requirements such as temperature control where applicable).

  • Coordinate consignment operations including stock placement, tracking, reconciliation, and stock take activities in line with Terumo Australia (TAUS) consignment policies and system requirements (SAP/SFDC).

  • Support post-stocktake reconciliation by comparing physical inventory counts against system records, identifying discrepancies, and assisting in root cause analysis. Responsibilities include validating stock adjustments, investigating variances (e.g., transaction errors, returns, or unrecorded movements), and ensuring accurate updates in ERP systems such as SAP. The role contributes to maintaining high inventory accuracy, supporting financial integrity, and improving inventory control processes through reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide operational support for consignment stocktakes across hospitals, warehouses, and field locations by coordinating schedules, preparing inventory data, and assisting with physical counts. Responsibilities include ensuring inventory systems and documentation are accurate prior to count, guiding stakeholders on stocktake procedures, and supporting cycle counts and full inventory audits to maintain data integrity and minimise disruption to operations. This role requires close collaboration with sales, warehouse, and third-party providers to ensure all consignment stock is properly identified, counted, and recorded in accordance with company processes and compliance requirements.

  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across supply chain operations, including logistics efficiency, process optimization, and cost management.

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in SAP and Salesforce (SFDC) to ensure system integrity, traceability, and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

  • Support cross‑functional initiatives and projects (e.g. inventory optimization, contract logistics, new product launches) to enhance overall supply chain performance.

  • Collaborate with the broader Supply Chain and Operations team to ensure alignment with business priorities and successful execution of operational objectives.

  • Ensure regular review of consignment stock levels against agreed contract quantities and coordinate timely actions to address variances and maintain stock accuracy.

  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects focused on optimizing consignment inventory management, improving process compliance, reducing operational risks, and delivering efficiencies across end-to-end supply chain operations.

  • Create, maintain, and govern Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions, ensuring all documents are quality-approved, regularly reviewed, and up to date, supporting compliance, consistency, and operational excellence across consignment processes.

  • Undertake regular visits to consignment sites across all Australian states in collaboration with the Sales team, with approximately 20–30% domestic travel required to conduct stock takes, stock rotation, and reconciliations.

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Experience within a supply chain, logistics, or operations role, with demonstrated ability to deliver against service, cost, and performance targets.

  • Proactive and self‑driven, with the ability to manage tasks independently while coordinating across multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and identify risks or optimization opportunities.

Education & Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Medical-logistical oriented position

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Advanced MS Office Skills with previous experience with SAP and Salesforce

  • Demonstrated time management skills

  • Knowledge of organisation/industry products

  • Ability to identify sales leads
