We are looking for a commercially minded and analytical Category Manager to strengthen our global supplier network, drive category performance, and support the continued growth of our business.
As Category Manager, you will play a key role in developing and managing supplier relationships, improving operational performance, and ensuring that our supply chain remains scalable, resilient, and aligned with Muuto’s ambitious growth plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for a portfolio of suppliers and product categories, working closely with Product Development, Sustainability, and Commercial teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and executing category strategies aligned with business objectives
Managing supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance reviews
Driving continuous improvements in lead time, delivery performance, quality, and cost
Identifying and implementing sourcing opportunities and risk mitigation plans
Leading supplier development initiatives and supporting dual sourcing strategies
Monitoring KPIs and using data-driven insights to improve category performance
Supporting new product introductions from design to market launch
Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance
Ensuring supplier compliance with Muuto standards, sustainability requirements, and business processes
Driving transparency and reporting across supplier and category performance
WHO ARE YOU?
We imagine that you have:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Procurement, or a related field
5+ years of experience within Category Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing international suppliers and complex supply chains
Strong analytical capabilities and experience working with KPIs and performance management
Commercial understanding combined with a collaborative and relationship-focused approach
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Excellent communication skills in English
Experience from furniture, design, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries will be considered an advantage.
