About the position:

We are currently seeking a CIPP Superintendent who will oversee day-to-day field operations for CIPP rehabilitation projects. This role is responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project resources to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.

This is an opportunity plays a key role in delivering trenchless rehabilitation projects while working alongside a team that values collaboration, accountability, innovation, and strong field leadership.

This position may require travel to various project sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identifying and communicating workplace hazards and correcting or seeking assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and direction of field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of projects.
  • Directing and coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and project resources to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Taking ownership of field execution decisions, workflow sequencing, and site productivity within assigned project scope.
  • Developing and communicating daily and short-term work plans to meet project milestones and client expectations.
  • Monitoring field progress and collaborating with Project Managers to resolve issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure accurate field execution.
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading daily safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and toolbox talks.
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with project requirements and expectations.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation including daily reports, production tracking, and field records.
  • Mentoring and supporting field personnel while driving accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technical trade certification, construction-related education, or equivalent combination of education and field experience.
  • 8+ years of construction experience with progressive supervisory or leadership responsibilities, preferably in trenchless rehabilitation or pipeline infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, field execution practices, safety management systems, and quality standards.
  • Experience supervising multiple crews, subcontractors, and heavy equipment in active construction environments.*
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct field operations, make decisions under pressure, and maintain project productivity.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in CIPP or trenchless rehabilitation technologies is considered a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge of project reporting systems and construction management software is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record as determined by Michels Canada’s review process.
  • Ability to work in field conditions, including travel to various project sites as required.
