About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Student Services and Data Manager will provide support to the College Assistant Dean, Co-op leadership, and faculty Co-op Coordinators in the day-to-day workflow and effective operation of the co-op program, assist Co-op Coordinators with projects to prepare students, and guide co-op employer partners through the hiring process. Responsible for managing data reporting and administrative support for a growing fast-paced team. The individual in this position will have responsibilities in the areas of complex data projects, technology initiatives, program processes, and training and development team members. Additionally, they will be the interface between colleagues, students, employer partners, and leadership to ensure the success of the co-op program.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1) Data and Operations Support
Compile and analyze data/information and develop advanced data reports to evaluate student hiring, events, etc.
Manage work-study programs; effectively delegate projects and ensure completion to meet deadlines.
Coordinate efforts to uphold the completeness and integrity of data in various co-op systems.
Serve as liaison with central co-op technology team.
Maintain relevant student and co-op databases including Banner, SalesForce, and Symplicity.
Develop and administer surveys, update/manage content on co-op websites and LinkedIn group(s).
Develop communication materials for students and employers.
2) Student & Employer Support
Assist with preparation of co-op class materials; provide support for Blackboard course administration and course enrollment activities.
Review and comment on student guided inquiries, updating Co-op Coordinators; review status of responses and send reminders as needed.
Review employer evaluations and student self-assessments of the student co-op work experience.
Lead and/or assist with organization of co-op related events and on-campus employer interviews.
Conduct industry research on companies and opportunities that align with the college's job development efforts.
3) Complex Project Support & Senior Level Responsibilities
Complete complex data-related projects for both the individual’s direct team as well as the Departmental Co-op group in support of College and University goals and initiatives.
Lead new computer/data/software initiatives and/or transitions (Symplicity, Navigate, etc).
Develop and organize training manuals and educational materials for both Student Services and Data Manager and Co-op Faculty.
Document processes and procedures to ensure seamless continuity of program operations during periods of transition.
Collaborate with Student Services and Data Manager and Co-op Faculty direct supervisors to provide coaching and development, as needed.
Liaise regularly with Central IS/Co-op IS teams and the Registrar’s office on behalf of the college and disseminate information.
Oversee the development of business processes to ensure efficient and effective workflows of Student Services and Data Manager tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and complete tasks for several different constituents.
Problem solving and troubleshooting, with a high level of proficiency with technology including Excel (complex formulas and logic). Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are expected.
Proven success working both independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced and diverse environment is preferred.
Knowledge and skills are normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree, with interest in pursuing an advanced degree program related to data science or data analytics preferred.
A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in an academic or business environment.

$53,615.00 - $75,728.75With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
