About this Student Assistant - Onboarding and Support role at Inpay
Are you looking to join a dynamic, international company that's out to change the world of finance? Are you after a student position that lets you work from home on weekends, get a real understanding of how a FinTech company operates, and become part of a great multinational culture — all while working alongside modern AI tools?
Then you're in the right place!
The role
We're recruiting a Student Assistant to join our Onboarding and Support team in a hybrid remote/office role. Our Onboarding and Support team continuously strives to deliver professional, fast customer support for our clients' payments and system configuration. As our new Student Assistant, you'll primarily be responsible for our morning weekend coverage of the Support function. On top of the weekend coverage, you can expect additional hours during the week, up to the maximum weekly hours set in your contract.
At Inpay we're genuinely adaptive and forward-leaning when it comes to AI. We build our own tools — including Atlas, our internally built AI assistant — to take the repetitive weight off the team so people can focus on the work that really needs human judgement. You'll use these tools from day one, and we'll actively welcome your ideas for how AI can make the job easier and better.
Tasks
- Answer client queries regarding payments
- Assist with configuration and technical information
- Ensure proper escalation of client queries to the appropriate teams
- Use our internal AI tools, including Atlas, to investigate transactions and respond to clients faster — and bring your own ideas for how we can work smarter with AI
What your first months look like
We don't throw you in the deep end — you'll ramp up with structured support from the team:
- Getting started: Learn what weekend support and escalations involve, shadow the core team on weekdays and support on weekends, and get a walkthrough of our back-end — including the AI tools that you'll use day to day.
- Building confidence: Start handling live queries with the team reviewing and supporting you, ease into weekend coverage, and build depth in the areas you want to grow.
- Taking ownership: Handle weekday and weekend support more independently, manage queries end-to-end and escalate when needed, document recurring queries for the knowledge base, and take on a support-improvement initiative of your choice — ideally one that uses AI to make the work easier. You'll set goals with your manager and review progress each quarter.
Your profile
- You can work between 8 and 16 hours weekly. Weekend mornings are fixed.
- You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- You speak and write English at a professional level
- You are organized and have strong attention to detail
- You are proactive and can work independently
- You are a team player and communicate efficiently
- You're curious about AI and keen to use (and improve on) the tools that make support work easier
- Knowledge of PowerBI and Microsoft Teams is an advantage, but not a requirement
