Job Description Summary

We are seeking a strategic leader to build and run our Global Sourcing Regulatory, Risk, and Compliance function. In this high-visibility role, you will connect traditional supply chain disciplines, such as quality, sourcing, and financial risk, with a fast-changing global regulatory landscape. You will lead a team of 5-10 professionals in our India Center of Excellence and keep our global supply chain secure, compliant, and resilient against emerging geopolitical, cybersecurity, and sustainability threats.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary authority on supply chain risk, spanning ISO 9001, FAR/DFARS, OFAC, payment risk, currency and inflation exposure, and commodity constraints.
  • Drive supplier alignment with corporate standards and international requirements, including EO 14420, the Europe Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and CMMC.
  • Identify, evaluate, and deploy AI-driven solutions that automate regulatory monitoring, improve predictive risk modeling, and streamline compliance workflows, so vulnerabilities are flagged before they become disruptions.
  • Guide the organization's response to global sustainability and transparency mandates, including CBAM, CSRD, DPP, REACH, and SCIP.
  • Monitor regulatory trends, industry best practices, and emerging tools, and provide executive leadership with market insights and actionable recommendations that support long-term supply chain stability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-10 individuals, adapting priorities as business needs and the regulatory environment evolve.
  • Oversee the Sourcing Quality Management System (QMS) and Supplier Central or other sourcing portals (e.g., SharePoint), simplifying processes to maintain an audit-ready posture for internal and external requirements.
  • Partner with Legal, Engineering, and Finance to translate complex regulatory risks into clear business outcomes and serve as the primary source of contact for compliance inquiries.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university, with 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Supplier Quality, or Risk Management.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex regulatory processes (e.g., REACH, RoHS, IHM, Conflict Minerals).
  • 3+ years of direct experience in supply chain cybersecurity governance.
  • Demonstrated success leading global, cross-functional teams, including offshore or Center of Excellence (COE) environments.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong understanding of how AI, machine learning, and data analytics, including risk-scoring models, can improve supply chain risk management and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to anticipate shifts in ESG, trade sanctions, and data privacy, backed by deep knowledge of international trade law, anti-bribery/corruption mandates, and sustainability legislation.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification, with a track record of process simplification and QMS management.
  • Exceptional executive presence, with the ability to persuade senior stakeholders to accept necessary trade-offs and to translate complex technical risks into boardroom-ready strategy.
