WHAT YOU WILL DO

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 annually plus bonus.

Performs and leads core accounting processes including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance activities. Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial records in alignment with GAAP, SOX, and company policies. Provides leadership within the accounting team, including process improvement initiatives and mentoring of less experienced team members. 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform and support all phases of the month-end close process, ensuring compliance with critical reporting deadlines

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, audit schedules, tax schedules, and other required financial reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements

  • Analyze and reconcile key general ledger accounts to maintain financial accuracy and integrity

  • Assist with the annual external audit, providing required documentation and support to auditors

  • Prepare and submit monthly financial statements in alignment with Cabinetworks Group reporting requirements

  • Lead or contribute to the preparation of materials for monthly financial review meetings

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and leadership requests 

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and controls, including GAAP and SOX requirements

  • Proactively plan for and support year-end accounting close processes

  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the accounting function

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to junior accounting team members to promote skill development and department effectiveness

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with SOX compliance requirements

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships across functions and levels of the organization

  • Ability to work independently with initiative, flexibility, and minimal supervision

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA certification

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, , Workday, Onestream, Oracle EPM, Oracle Business Intelligence

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or related industry environment
