As Specialist HLR & VAS Operations, you’ll work on the critical platforms that keep our subscribers connected, including HLR/HSS, SMSC, Smart Care/CEM and other Value-Added Services.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to live telecom operations, troubleshooting, configuration management, automation and data-driven network operations, while building your expertise across 4G/5G Core, IMS, cloud-native technologies and AI-enabled network tools.

What you’ll own

• Operate, monitor and maintain HLR, HSS, SMSC, Smart Care/CEM and VAS platforms.
• Troubleshoot incidents, faults and customer complaints, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or vendors.
• Monitor alarms, KPIs, performance and capacity to identify and address issues proactively.
• Support configuration changes, patches, upgrades and new feature rollouts, including testing and rollback activities.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions for recurring incidents.
• Maintain accurate configurations, SOPs, runbooks and operational documentation.
• Automate repetitive operational activities such as health checks, log collection and reporting using Python, Shell, Perl or JavaScript.
• Use SQL/Oracle to extract and analyze operational data and support dashboards and reports through Power BI/Tableau.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and digitalize manual operational processes.
• Work closely with Network Planning, IT, Product, Customer Support and vendor teams to resolve issues and deliver services.
• Build exposure to AI/ML-based anomaly detection, predictive analytics, 4G/5G Core, IMS, virtualization and cloud-native environments.

Requirements

You may be a strong fit if you

• Have hands-on experience in HLR & VAS Operations, particularly with SMSC, anti-spam, firewalls and HLR/HSS.
• Have worked with telecom vendors such as Huawei, ZTE or Nokia.
• Have strong knowledge of GSM, HLR/HSS, messaging call flows, IP protocols and signalling.
• Bring solid configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting skills within telecom core/VAS environments.
• Have practical experience with Python, Perl, Shell or JavaScript for automation and process improvement.
• Have working knowledge of SQL/Oracle and exposure to Power BI or Tableau.
• Understand basic AI/ML concepts, particularly anomaly detection and predictive analytics in network operations.
• Have awareness of cloud platforms, virtualization and modern network technologies.
• Communicate clearly, collaborate effectively and demonstrate a strong drive for results.
• Are a team player who can navigate technical discussions with maturity and a balanced, holistic approach.
