Sourcing Manager, Excess Inventory - EMEA

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Sourcing Manager, Excess Inventory - EMEA you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic supply channels while driving asset recovery initiatives, purchasing activities, and sourcing strategies across the EMEA region.

This role combines the commercial and relationship-building aspects of Asset Recovery Services with the hands-on responsibilities of a Strategic Sourcing Manager/Buyer. You will work closely with OEMs, EMS providers, distributors, and suppliers to identify, secure, and maximize trading opportunities while strengthening Converge's supply chain capabilities.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing, procurement, and asset recovery initiatives across the EMEA region.
• Build, manage, and grow relationships with OEM, EMS, distributor, and supplier partners to identify new sourcing and asset opportunities.
• Prospect for new accounts while developing existing customer and supplier relationships to generate additional supply channels and revenue streams.
• Lead and mentor a team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Create supply and sales opportunities through Converge systems, market intelligence, and industry relationships.
• Source and purchase electronic components and excess inventory while ensuring competitive pricing and business margins.
• Identify and evaluate new purchasing opportunities, surplus inventories, and asset recovery programs.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders, and supplier contracts while maintaining profitability and risk management standards.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that support customer demand, inventory optimization, and business growth objectives.
• Monitor market conditions, supply chain trends, pricing movements, lifecycle changes, and industry developments.
• Work collaboratively with internal sales, purchasing, quality, and operations teams to maximize buy-side and sell-side opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM and sourcing database records, including supplier activity, opportunities, and purchasing forecasts.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers and customers to expand Converge's trading network.
• Support business planning through reporting, forecasting, and purchasing performance metrics.

WHO YOU ARE:

• A commercially driven sourcing, procurement, or asset recovery professional with a passion for the electronics industry.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, asset recovery, or supply chain management within the electronics industry.
• Strong understanding of electronic component markets, industry cycles, excess inventory management, and supply chain dynamics.
• Proven experience building and managing relationships with OEMs, EMS providers, distributors, suppliers, and customers.
• Experienced people leader with strong team management and coaching capabilities.
• Skilled negotiator with the ability to identify opportunities and close profitable deals.
• Fluent in English and German or Dutch.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel internationally as business needs require.
