We are looking for a Software Developer Lead to guide a team building and running system-integration products. You will turn business requirements into production outcomes by shaping architecture, making and communicating technical decisions, and helping engineers deliver and improve continuously. 

We want someone who stays hands-on and technically credible, while raising the quality of decisions across the team and working well with other teams, external partners, and non-technical stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

1. System Design and Architecture 

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions, defining components, service boundaries, APIs, data flows, and data models. 

• Choose between synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns and evaluate architectural trade-offs. 

• Consider scalability, reliability, security, observability, and maintainability from the start. 
  

2. System Integration 

• Design and oversee integrations with internal services and external or third-party systems (REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven flows). 

• Define how the system behaves under timeouts, retries, duplicate requests, partial failures, and inconsistent data, including idempotency and reconciliation. 

• Own API contracts, versioning, authentication and authorization, and data ownership across system boundaries. 
  

3. Technical Leadership 

• Make and document technical decisions, including the alternatives considered and the reasons for the choice. 

• Set technical direction, resolve technical disagreements, and constructively challenge proposals. 

• Guide, mentor, and unblock engineers, and establish engineering practices within the team. 

• Identify technical risks early and escalate appropriately. 
  

4. Technical Execution 

• Take part in code reviews, design reviews, technical planning, and testing strategy. 

• Debug and troubleshoot production issues, and identify and manage technical debt. 

• Move between architecture, service design, API and data model, implementation, and production concerns. 
  

5. Communication and Collaboration 

• Explain technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs clearly to engineers, product, and management. 

• Collaborate with other Tech Leads, teams, and external partners, and raise problems proactively. 

• Produce clear technical documentation. 

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. 

• Minimum 7+ years of professional software engineering experience. 

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and proven hands-on experience building production systems. 

• Strong system design skills, able to independently design a moderately complex system and explain its components, data flow, API boundaries, data model, failure scenarios, and scalability considerations. 

• Real-world experience integrating multiple systems, including external or third-party ones, and handling unavailable dependencies, timeouts, duplicate requests, partial failures, and data inconsistencies. 

• Solid understanding of APIs and service communication: REST, API contracts, versioning, authentication and authorization, rate limiting, and webhooks. 

• Understanding of data modelling, data ownership, consistency, and reliability. 

• Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions, provide direction, guide engineers, and explain trade-offs. 

• Ability to review designs and implementations, and to troubleshoot production problems. 

• Clear verbal and written communication, with the ability to adapt the message for technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Ownership mindset and proactive, cross-team collaboration. 

• Coming from Top University will be a plus consideration 

Nice-to-have experience:

• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture. 

• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pub/Sub. 

• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure), plus Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code. 

• Familiarity with Go, Java, .NET, or React/Next.js. Equivalent experience is welcome, since we value transferable fundamentals over a specific stack. 

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, advanced observability, and security architecture. 

• Domain exposure to payment systems, ERP/CRM, enterprise integration, or government and third-party integrations. 

• Experience with large-scale systems, architecture governance, engineering standards, or influencing multiple teams.
