Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join its client’s specialist UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) Team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated service supporting vulnerable young people, ensuring they receive the care, protection, and support they need to achieve positive outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, completing statutory assessments, supporting young people through their care journey, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage a varied caseload of Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children within a specialist service.
  • Complete UASC assessments and Age Assessments in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
  • Undertake statutory social work responsibilities for Looked After Children / Children in Care.
  • Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care plans to support the safety, wellbeing, and development of young people.
  • Build effective relationships with children and young people, ensuring their voice is central to all assessments, planning, and interventions.
  • Complete assessments, reports, and documentation to a high professional standard.
  • Attend and contribute to Looked After Children reviews, pathway planning meetings, strategy meetings, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, health services, legal representatives, and immigration services.
  • Support young people with their transition to independence, including preparation for adulthood and developing life skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements, local policies, and professional standards.
  • Assess and manage risk effectively, making informed decisions to safeguard vulnerable young people.
  • Promote strengths-based practice and support positive outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have;

Social Work England registration
Eligible to work in the UK.
Hold a full UK license.
Post-qualified experience
Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
