Pay: $19.80/hr. and potential for overtime.
Start: between 3PM - 3:15PM - go until production is done.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The essential job functions of a Slice Machine Operator (Pepperoni) are to operate and monitor a single stick automatic peeling and slicing line. Team Member will occasionally lift, reach, push, pull and stand during entire shift. Will be working in cold temperatures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and/or tear down metal detectors, automatic casing peelers and slicers, unload sticks from racks, run through automatic peeler, slice pepperoni sticks one at a time to meet customer specs, replace blade as needed, work with QA on consistency and quality of product, gather slice count and other FSQA data as required by the product specification and input data into PlantView.
- Will operate the automatic metal detector and is responsible for reworking all metal rejected sticks offline.
- Inspect product for defects.
- Will be part of a rotation unloading sticks, peeling, slicing, and inspecting product.
- Utilize protective equipment while exposed to the machine blade.
- Utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, follows Tyson/SAFETY/FSQA/USDA rules and procedures, maintains good housekeeping, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, report injuries and unsafe conditions, and performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform routine repetitive bending and lifting, lift to 50 pounds at times.
REQUIREMENTS.
- 6 months work history with the same employer.
- 6 months of machine operator experience.
