Position Overview

This position is Sunday - Thursday 11pm-7am.

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for operating the shear machine.

  Essential Duties:

• Oversee the shearing process which enhances the carpet's finish
• Monitor the lint house for proper operation
• Monitor all accumulators and carpet guides
• Must fill in as technician as needed

Non-Essential Duties:

 Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

 Physical Requirements:

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, and stooр
• Close vision and good hearing required
• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
• Must participate in group stretching prior to shift

 Other Requirements: Must be applicable to all JHA's

 Safety & Security Requirements:

• This position has the responsibility and authority to report to management any safety problems, and potential problems encountered while performing the job
• This position has the responsibility of the quality and safety of his/her own output and their co-worker
