Purpose:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the IT and business end-users
• Develop strategy (before delivery starts) including operating models, engagement models, and other visual representations
• Align business architecture with strategic analysis
• Shape the business context and logical structuring of problems, current state and business target state
• Articulate product vision with a strong focus on value delivery
• Elaboration and Decomposition of themes to Epics, solution options, do ability and sequencing
• Work with the business to analyze business requirements and produce documented and approved specifications for any new or change to technology applications  and/or business processes
• Maximize the Value being delivered by ensuring all features are aligned to business value.
• Works with the Product Owner to refine the backlog of the team through prioritization, estimation and decision making.
• Outline the requirements to develop the solutions
• Supports Developers, Analysts and Quality Engineers in understanding the requirements, so they can deliver on their commitments

Experience:

• 15+ years of previous experience as a Business Analyst
• Understanding of Financial Products (cross border payments, SWIFT ecosystem, ISO 20022) , processes, compliance and systems
• Experience in Banking Domain (Preferred experience in Australian Payments)
• Good to have Payments modernisation experience
• Knowledge of Hybrid architecture, APIs, Microservices
• Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and analysis
• Extensive experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with HCD techniques.
• Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams, developing it into a shaped backlog of key features, user stories and goals for individual sprints
• Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a cross functional business and IT team through the discovery, development and operational usage stages of change.
• Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content
• Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships
• Proven analytical skills and evidence based decision making

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for capturing and grooming requirements into epics, features, user stories and dependencies in collaboration with the squads that aligns with business requirements.
• Perform analysis (scenario, policy, customer, data, gap, change, etc) in order to articulate business need and solution requirements.
• Produce As Is and To Be Process Models
• Develop process models, data models, business rules, target operating models, workflows, reporting and other required outputs
• Ensure the Delivery and Development teams understand the value of each user story that is being delivered at the right time
• Works with the Product Owner  & the Financial Product team to understand, elicit, analyse, document and communicate business requirements and articulate product vision with a strong focus on value delivery
• Assists the Product Owner to define and own the value definition of Stories, including facilitating and influencing the prioritisation of the backlog
• Working experience in translating end user / customer insights into Features, Epics and Stories complete with Acceptance Criteria, which can easily be understood by the development Team and Traceable
• Analyse the impact of proposed solutions holistically in order to produce Business Impact Assessments
