Job Description Summary

The Global Mobility (GM) Specialist is responsible for the regional delivery of global mobility governance and consulting services to People Partners and Line Managers across their designated region, on all Global Mobility matters. This role will respond to GM queries/requests and help facilitate and manage international job moves into and out of their region, in alignment with the C&W policy and best practice. Key skills required to be successful in this role are exceptional communication skills—especially in a virtual environment, strong connection and relationship skills that enable and educate People Partners and managers on GM policies and practice.  This role reports to the aligned regional People Services Director but has a matrix reporting line to the Senior Manager, Global Mobility. For the Americas region, this role will also have responsibility for the management of the US domestic relocation program, advising People Partners and Line Managers against the local policies.  
 
The Global Mobility Specialist will utilize the relevant technology to manage GM cases and store employee relocation data. And will utilize this data for metrics and reporting analytics.

About the Role:

  • Manage the end-to-end global mobility process for employee relocations and assignments, from case intake and assessment through delivery, compliance, and successful case closure.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR stakeholders, providing guidance on mobility policies, timelines, approvals, costs, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage external mobility vendors, including immigration, relocation, tax, payroll, and destination service providers, ensuring service quality and adherence to agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure compliance with global mobility policies, regional legal, tax, immigration, and data privacy requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating risks or exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate case records, produce mobility metrics and reporting, resolve escalations, and drive continuous process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in HR operations, global mobility, relocation, immigration, or mobility services, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of global mobility policies, compliance requirements, documentation standards, and mobility lifecycle components including relocation, immigration, tax, payroll, and benefits coordination.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and time zones.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) and HRIS/case management systems; experience with Workday and vendor management is preferred.
