The Senior Project Manager will oversee the delivery of complex, high-impact projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies,ensuring alignment with business goals and maximising value delivery. The role involves managing multiple cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and driving successful project outcomes within scope, time, and budget constraints.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

Project Management

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale Agile projects across various teams and stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain project charters, roadmaps, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of objectives.

• Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively managing dependencies.

Financial Acumen

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with financial objectives.

• Track and report on project costs, variances, and financial performance metrics.

Team Leadership

• Coach and mentor team members in Agile best practices, ensuring continuous improvement in delivery processes.

• Support cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and remove blockers to success.

• Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Stakeholder Management

• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

• Work closely with Product Managers to refine backlogs, prioritise work, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, build consensus, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyse project performance and leverage data-driven insights to improve Agile delivery.

• Drive initiatives for organisational Agile transformation and champion process optimisation.

• Stay updated with emerging trends in Agile methodologies and project management tools.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

• 5–8 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a strong emphasis on Agile delivery.

• A relevant degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.

• Professional certifications such as CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified SAFe Agilist (SA), or PMI-ACP.

• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.

• Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional team collaboration.

• Experience in risk management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.

• Proven experience managing large-scale projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe).

• A solid track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and budget.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

• Experience in leading digital transformation, IT or software development projects.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

• Background in coaching or implementing Agile transformations in organisations.
