About this Senior Product Manager role at Range

Range · Hybrid · Toronto, ON, Canada

At Range Group we believe in the power of the professional travel advisor. We represent over $4.5 billion in annual travel sales. All our investments stem from a common thesis, that travel advisors add real value to a trip. Travel advisors when equipped with technology and 24/7 support are irreplaceable. Equally important is our philanthropy. Range Foundation channels 10% of group profits to social impact. From exploration grants, improved access to education, new discoveries on sea and land, cultural infrastructure, and helping our global neighbors in times of need — we are investing to build a better future.

This is a hybrid role requiring 1 to 2 days a week at our office located in Downtown, Toronto.

ABOUT THE ROLE

TripArc's travel booking platforms are used every day by thousands of travel professionals to plan, price, book, and manage trips for their clients. We're re-envisioning them as a single AI-powered platform.

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager for Trip Management, which covers everything after a client says yes. You'll own our new payments, booking, invoicing, and accounting systems, set the goals for the area, and decide what we build next to reach them. Because these systems are new, we don't have to copy how travel payments have always worked. You'll decide where AI belongs in the product, and you'll know payments well enough to tell where the numbers have to be exact.

You'll report to the Group Product Manager for Trip Management and work with a dedicated team of engineers, QA, UX, and delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set the product strategy for payments, booking, invoicing, and accounting for the next 12 to 18 months.
  • Define OKRs for the area, such as payment success rate, and report progress to leadership.
  • Own the roadmap: decide what to build next to move those OKRs and what to defer, using pilot feedback and production data, and explain the trade-offs.
  • Find where AI can do useful work in the product that truly moves our goals and OKRs, instead of rebuilding how the old platform works.
  • Make the product decisions on how money moves (deposits, final payments, refunds, credits, currencies), and record them so everyone works from the same answer.
  • Lead cross-functional work with engineering, architecture, QA, UX, and delivery from problem definition to launch.
  • Work with Finance, Accounting, and 24/7 support on reconciliation, statements, refunds, and audit needs.
  • Plan the move of travel professionals and in-progress trips off our legacy platform.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have

  • 6+ years in product management, including 3+ owning payments, billing, invoicing, or another product that handles financial transactions.
  • A track record of setting OKRs and prioritizing a roadmap against them with senior stakeholders, including Finance.
  • Working knowledge of the payment lifecycle: authorization, capture, deposits, refunds, chargebacks and reconciliation.
  • Good judgement on where AI belongs in a money flow, knowing that amounts and ledger entries must stay exact and auditable.
  • You use AI tools in your own work every day.
  • Clear writing: you can turn a messy discussion into a short decision record.
  • You're comfortable reading API documentation and can pull BI data to check things yourself.

Nice to have

  • You've shipped a product feature built on AI or machine learning.
  • Accounting knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
  • Integrations with payment providers.
  • Travel industry experience, especially supplier bookings and deposit schedules.
  • Pricing and payments in more than one currency.
  • Fraud and risk models or automated reconciliation.
  • Experience replacing a legacy system while it stays live.

COMPENSATION

We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. Employees have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and compensation tied to business and individual performance. The expected compensation range for this position is: $120,000 to $140,000.

The actual compensation may vary depending on local market conditions, geography, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. #LI-Hybrid

We are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. If you require accommodation due to a disability at any stage of our hiring process, please advise us when completing your application.
