Job Role: Senior Marketing Analyst
Compensation range: $1,600 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: The Senior Marketing Analyst will play a key role in strengthening marketing performance reporting and financial analysis for a growing Australian hospitality and restaurant group. The role will focus on analysing digital and offline marketing data, developing more sophisticated reporting for the Marketing Fund, and providing clear insights into advertising performance and fund allocation. Working closely with marketing and corporate teams, the role combines specialist marketing analytics with commercial and financial analysis to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain marketing performance reporting across digital and offline channels, including Meta, Google, and YouTube.
- Analyse campaign and advertising data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct attribution analysis across out-of-home (OOH) media and other marketing channels.
- Develop reporting and analysis to provide greater visibility into Marketing Fund allocation, expenditure, and performance.
- Analyse marketing data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
- Prepare management reports and support P&L analysis, balance sheet review, and financial data interpretation related to marketing activities.
- Reconcile and validate marketing and financial data to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with marketing and finance teams to improve reporting processes, data visibility, and analytical methodologies.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and evaluation of marketing spend and performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve the way marketing performance and fund allocation are measured and reported.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics, data analysis, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Meta, Google, and YouTube analytics.
- Experience with marketing attribution and multi-channel performance measurement, ideally including OOH media.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced Excel/spreadsheet capability.
- Experience preparing management reports and interpreting complex marketing and financial data.
- Experience with or strong understanding of P&L analysis, balance sheet review, and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify patterns, discrepancies, and actionable insights.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with hospitality, retail, multi-site, franchise, or other consumer-facing businesses is advantageous.
