About the Role

At Clutch, we believe advances in AI are fundamentally changing how great products are built. Traditional handoffs between product, design, and engineering are giving way to smaller, faster teams where builders can take ideas from concept to production in days instead of months.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll join our data team and take on some of the most important and complex questions facing the business. That means understanding how we buy and price vehicles, how customers move through our funnel, how we recondition and deliver cars, and how customers finance their purchases. You'll be the person leaders turn to when they need to know what's really happening and what to do about it.

This is a role for someone who thrives on ownership. You'll scope ambiguous problems, build the data models and pipelines needed to answer them, and turn your findings into clear recommendations that drive decisions. What you'll do:

• Own deep-dive analyses on Clutch's highest-priority problems across acquisitions, inventory, retail conversion, operations, and financing.
• Build models and frameworks to size opportunities, forecast outcomes, and evaluate trade-offs before decisions are made.
• Define and own core business metrics so teams across Clutch work from a single source of truth.
• Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of product, marketing, and operational changes.
• Build, maintain, and improve the production dashboards and data models that stakeholders rely on every day.
• Build reliable, well-tested, production-ready pipelines using tools like dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake, in partnership with data engineering.
• Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to translate business questions into clear, trustworthy analysis.
• Use AI tooling as part of your everyday workflow to accelerate analysis, pipeline development, and iteration.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
• Own your projects end-to-end, from scoping through delivery.
• Contribute to data documentation and governance practices as our data infrastructure matures.

What we're looking for:

Must Haves

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or a closely related field (6–7 years is ideal).
• Strong SQL expertise, with comfort working across large or complex datasets.
• A track record of analysis that changed business decisions, not just reporting on them.
• Ability to take a vague business question, structure it, and deliver a clear recommendation.
• Solid grounding in statistics and experimentation.
• Hands-on experience with a BI tool, such as Tableau or Power BI.
• A proven ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• A track record of owning and delivering projects end-to-end, ideally with some project management experience.
• A collaborative, energetic communicator who works well within a close-knit team.

Nice to Have

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, automotive, or financial services.
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake.
• Python or another coding language.
• Experience integrating AI tools into your day-to-day workflow.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $100,000 - $125,000
