WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
As our Senior Business Consultant (Post-trade, Production support), you'll be responsible for accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and messages, including reconciliation, matching, and settlement activities, through bidirectional data exchange between third parties, clients, and SimCorp’s Dimension platform.
This is a role for someone who's energized by production environments, comfortable owning ambiguity, and able to bridge business and IT perspectives under pressure.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Oversee daily operations of the Asset Service Hub, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and messages — including reconciliation, matching, and settlement — across bidirectional data exchange between third parties, clients, and SimCorp Dimension
- Lead root cause analysis for issues in transaction flows and financial messaging, working closely with internal and external teams
- Coordinate with external partners' help desks to diagnose and resolve challenges in SWIFT and non-SWIFT data flows
- Engage multiple internal teams to investigate and troubleshoot connectivity, system, and process issues
- Communicate with custodians, brokers, and asset managers to clarify and resolve connectivity issues impacting trade capture, settlement, reconciliation, and data integrity
- Monitor and manage cases in the ticketing system (currently Salesforce), keeping updates timely and documentation accurate
- Drive resolution of tickets, including change requests, while maintaining high service standards
- Proactively learn and apply new technologies, design and implement processes from scratch, and identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer experience
- Document best practices and promote knowledge sharing within the team
- Mentor and guide junior team members, acting as a knowledge multiplier and fostering professional growth
WHAT WE VALUE
- Experience in post-trade settlement processes within the buy-side / asset management world
- Strong understanding of post-trade workflows — trade confirmation, tax, settlement, and reconciliation
- Good familiarity with equities, fixed income, ETDs, and OTC derivatives
- Experience with relevant SWIFT MTs for these post-trade data flows and their content
- Understanding of data interfacing, mapping, and data/interface requirements
- General knowledge of testing processes (unit testing, systems integration testing) and project requirements
- Hands-on experience in production support within asset management or asset servicing (SimCorp Dimension or equivalent)
- Previous experience working for a custodian or asset servicer in a similar capacity
- Ability to bridge business and IT perspectives in asset processing
- Senior-level capability to manage business communication independently
- Fluency in business and technical English
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within global teams
- Skilled at navigating ambiguity, managing incomplete information, and resolving discrepancies effectively
