As the OPEX FP&A Senior Analyst, you support one of the expense domains within the CoE, playing a key role in advancing the finance transformation roadmap and helping establish best practices for FP&A processes related to operating expense management.
 

Your primary responsibility is to lead proactive, timely, and high-quality forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis within the operating expenses domain. You will serve as a trusted finance partner, leveraging deep expertise in OPEX to provide actionable insights, challenge assumptions, and support informed business decisions. You will also drive process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of FP&A capabilities across the organization.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process from an FP&A perspective, delivering insightful variance analysis across the cost P&L.

• Partner closely with Finance Business Partners and budget owners to review actual spend, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.

• Synthesize key financial insights and present clear, actionable recommendations to support business discussions and decision-making.

• Own the preparation and coordination of the monthly cost forecast, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely updates within planning systems.

• Support and influence the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes, including designing planning templates, reviewing assumptions, and challenging inputs where appropriate.

• Perform financial analysis and evaluate key business initiatives, including developing business cases and assessing investment opportunities to improve business performance.

• Develop meaningful financial insights that drive business unit and regional profitability while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

• Deliver accurate, timely, and relevant financial reporting that enables business leaders to make informed decisions.

• Interpret financial results and communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance management reporting, identifying opportunities to improve reporting quality, efficiency, and decision support.

• Proactively raise risks, opportunities, and analytical findings with FP&A colleagues and business partners to improve financial outcomes.

• Support governance meetings and senior leadership reviews through ad hoc financial analysis and executive-ready reporting.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, implementing, and documenting enhancements to FP&A processes, tools, and reporting.

• Support knowledge sharing and provide guidance to junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a Finance function, preferably within FP&A.

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

• CIMA, ACCA, or CPA certification (or actively pursuing certification) preferred.

• Knowledge of media industry dynamics and key financial drivers is an asset.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Experience with EPM solutions such as SAP BPC, Hyperion, Cognos, or OneStream.

• Proven ability to partner with stakeholders, influence decisions, and communicate financial concepts to non-finance audiences.

• Demonstrated experience identifying process improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies within FP&A processes.
