Job Description Summary

Working within the Asset Owners America (AOA) serving the Client Service Group for a range of institutional clients. To perform a variety of tasks within the IIG North America team in an accurate and timely manner, working closely with shared service within Business services and C&IS. To continually aim to improve the service offered to internal stakeholders and external clients.

To take on appropriate tasks from the Team Leader and escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Understanding of the Client Service delivery and its importance to internal and external clients

  • Responsible for delivery of all client tasks (Account opening/Closing procedures, Auto-sweep, IM Fee Reconciliation, Bespoke activities, Client Reporting, Handling Client Request/Inquiries, Overdraft Monitoring, Market Price updates, FX, Trade, Processing Standing Instructions, etc.) accurately and within specified timeframes

  • Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems

  • Respond to external queries received in relation to client reports and general queries received from clients, CSMs/AMs, consultants, auditors & other third parties

  • To work closely with the relevant contacts within Asset owners America clients to provide the best possible service, responding to queries and escalating as appropriate.

  • Assist with testing of ongoing projects as required

  • Perform quality checks to ensure excellence and proactively communicate procedure updates to the team

  • Be aware of all service level agreements and KPIs in place

  • Foster and develop long-term relationships with internal groups and suppliers

  • Continuously meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of all clients

  • Work within a team with a strong willingness to assist others when required, building effective relationships with members of other teams

  • Be able to play the role of SME and train the new hires of the team

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis of Errors and suggest controls

Core Skills / Competencies Required

  • Extensive experience in a client reporting/servicing role

  • Must have a strong understanding of Operations processes

  • Familiarity with a wide range of Investment instruments and with asset servicing terminology

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and at all levels internally

  • Numerically competent with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work flexibly when dealing with varying client requirements

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize a busy workload

  • Highly flexible to work in shifts

  • Strong knowledge of financial / capital markets demonstrated through good understanding of concepts, theoretical knowledge and accounting / product knowledge

  • Demonstrate through examples / evidence excellent written and verbal language skills, collaboration, analytical acumen, “raising your hand”, sense of urgency, escalation channels/process and attention to detail

Eligibility

  • Demonstrated client servicing capabilities at all levels are required for success in this position. Preferably, 20 - 24 months of experience

  • Eagerness and creative attitude towards improving product offering as well as a desire to identify and implement process efficiencies

  • Ability to quickly understand new systems, both in-house and market data provider systems

  • An operations environment background, from one that is deadline driven with a strong focus on controls, targets, change and challenging the norm

Eligibility - Internal Partners

  • 12 months as an Analyst II
