About this Senior Accountant role at HelloFresh

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will partner with departments across the organization to analyze and continuously drive improvement in our internal controls and financial reporting processes. Reporting to the Associate Director, Accounting & Taxation, you will act as a business partner to the operations team to assist in weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial results. As part of the Finance team, you will play a key role in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting packages.
Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for
- Take ownership of key areas of the financial statements by collecting and verifying financial information and providing supporting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy of P&L and balance sheet accounts
- Develop and maintain accurate accounting processes and procedures for inventory, accruals and leases, including IFRS 16 assessments
- Partner with procurement, operation and data teams to continuously drive improvement in our internal controls and financial reporting processes
- Act as a business partner to bridge accounting actuals to budget and forecast in collaboration with FP&A, striving to continuously improve on the transparency of financial results provided to stakeholders
- Proactively develop and implement processes to accommodate the growth of the Factor brand
- Assist with the interim and year-end internal and external audit requirements
- Mentor intermediate and junior accounting team members, supporting with the teams growth
- Assess accounting treatment for new projects and ventures, develop reports and present to management needed
- Other duties, as assigned

- 3-4 years experience working in full-cycle accounting or experience in Public accounting
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
- You have a CPA designation
- You have strong knowledge of IFRS, including technical accounting and reporting requirements
- You are proficient in using Excel (Advanced level), Gemini Pro & Claude
- You have strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Your attention to detail is renowned. You are able to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment. You are a proactive problem-solver: You always look for a better, more efficient way to complete your own and the team’s tasks.
