Secure Space Technical and Physical Security SME, Senior Manager

The Opportunity: 

This position serves as the Subject Matter Expert within the Secure Space Operations Group (SSOG). SSOG supports secure space strategic planning and specializes in ICD 705, TEMPEST, and Department of Defense secure space retrofits and construction. The Senior SME provides technical leadership and authoritative guidance across the full lifecycle of planning, design, construction, and accreditation for a portfolio of SCIFs, SAPFs, Restricted Areas, and DoD Collateral Open Storage facilities. With a large existing portfolio of Secure Spaces, and many ongoing projects, the Senior SME will manage complex, concurrent efforts and partner closely with Booz Allen stakeholders, including leadership, government sponsors, and program managers and align cross agency requirements to deliver integrated secure space solutions. 

The SME also plays a key role in building the security workforce by managing physical and technical security SMEs and by developing CSSO, CPSO, and FSO staff across Industrial and Program Security. The role drives standardization of artifacts and processes and provides authoritative guidance to strengthen performance and alignment across the security workforce.

You Have: 

• 15+ years of experience in secure facilities construction, secure space program management, and industrial security
• Experience simplifying complex workflows and driving transformational change to increase efficiency and compliance across secure space projects 
• Experience with the construction project lifecycle
• Knowledge of ICD 705, TEMPEST fundamentals, and 32 CFR Part 117 governing DoD Collateral spaces 
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across design, build, test, and accreditation phases
• Ability to interpret and technically review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and low voltage drawings against government standards 
• Ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders across government sponsors, program leadership, facilities, and enterprise technology
• Ability to travel to CONUS locations up to 25% of the time
• Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience with security hardware, GSA security containers, access control, intrusion detection systems, acoustics, and multiple aspects of physical security 

• Experience with cost estimation, schedules, networks infrastructure, and approval processes specific to secure spaces 

• Experience serving as or developing Site Security Managers and guiding responsibilities across construction phases 
• Knowledge of field testing and commissioning for TEMPEST, acoustic performance, and physical security measures

• Ability to deliver cost saving designs that meet government standards while optimizing lifecycle value 
• TS/SCI clearance
• SPeD SAPPC, AP, ASIS CPP, PSP or equivalent certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $125,300.00 to $233,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
