About The Role
As a Horizontal Falls Pilot operating our fleet of Cessna 208 Caravans, life will be exactly that...an adventure not to be missed! Based in Broome, WA, you’ll navigate past red cliffs, vast turquoise waters, and lush mangroves all in a day’s work.
Horizontal Falls operations are conducted as single pilot operations. The pilot in command is responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and passengers onboard, while ensuring that all company procedures, manuals and reasonable instructions are adhered to.
This is a full-time seasonal position based in Broome, Western Australia, for the 2027 operating season.
Who are we looking for?
Enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who are as eager as we are to ensure that our guests receive the trip of a lifetime. A strong commitment to safety will be at the core of everything that you do. The ability to assess situations and make sound decisions when flying as a single pilot independently is central to achieving safe and effective flight operations. You will have the ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and to conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Minimum Requirements:
- CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilots License
- CASA Class 1 Medical
- Current aeroplane flight review (AFR)
- 1500 hours total flight time
- 350 hours float time
- 50 hours C208 (desirable)
Required Ratings and Endorsements:
- Single-engine aeroplane class rating
- Cessna 208 (C208)
- Floatplane (FLP)
- Gas Turbine Engine (GTE)
- Manual Propeller Pitch Control (MPPC)
- Retractable Undercarriage (RU)
Flight Instructor Rating, Night VFR Rating and Single Engine Command Instrument Ratings are highly desirable.
