The Opportunity
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to support M-Files sales teams and customers in UK & Ireland by combining strong technical expertise with clear business value communication.
In this role, you will act as a key technical and commercial partner throughout the sales process—helping customers understand how M-Files can solve their information management challenges, supporting solution design, delivering compelling demonstrations, and contributing to successful deal execution. You will be part of the M-Files Sales Engineering EMEA team and report to Jussi Sinkkonen (Sr. Director of Sales Engineering EMEA).
This is a high-impact customer-facing role with strong visibility across sales, product, and customer success teams. The role requires the ability to engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders.
What you will be doing/Responsibilities and Duties:
Pre-Sales Support:
- Collaborate with sales representatives to provide solution consulting and technical expertise during the sales process.
- Assist in qualifying opportunities and managing proof-of-concept (POC) processes.
- Script, configure and deliver value-driven product demos to prospects.
Technical Consultation:
- Understand the product thoroughly and explain its value, benefits, features and technical details to potential clients.
- Address technical objections or questions raised by prospects.
- Identify and recommend solution approaches based on detailed customer discovery.
- Document technical requirements, integration needs and overall solutions in collaboration with the M-Files implementation teams.
Relationship Building:
- Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and tailoring technical solutions.
- Work closely with M-Files internal teams (Services, Product, Engineering) to ensure customer success.
Sales Support:
- Collaborate with sales teams to advance leads, convert customers, and upsell to existing clients.
- Provide technical thought leadership to maximize business value for customers
Requirements
Core Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of technical presales, software solutions, enterprise architecture, integrations, security, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent customer communication skills and ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value.
- Native-level English communication skills are required
