M-Files
Our Story
M‑Files story dates to the year 2002, when founder and current CEO Antti Nivala started developing a document management software with a four-person team in the city of Tampere (Finland). The first version of M‑Files was launched in 2005, and four years later the company was ready to open a subsidiary in the United States (in Dallas, TX).
In 2011 the product pivoted to Intelligent Information Management, and in the following five years the company revenue grew more than 750%. Additional offices were opened in UK, France, Germany, and Australia, and in 2017 M‑Files acquired Apprento, a Canadian company whose focus is on Artificial Intelligence. At the same time, M‑Files started transitioning to a SaaS model.
M‑Files is backed by Bregal Milestone, Partech, Tesi, and Draper Esprit. It is now home to 500+ M‑Filers, who help serving 5,000+ customers in more than 100 countries.
Our growth story continues.
