Risk Management Manager
Role summary -As a Risk Management Manager, you will support Payoneer’s payment business in China by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across cross-border payment activities. You will focus on areas including merchant risk, transaction authenticity, abnormal fund flows, and fraud-related risk, while partnering with cross-functional teams to enable responsible, compliant, and well-controlled business growth.

What you’ll do
- Build and continuously enhance risk management controls for Payoneer’s cross-border payment business in China, covering merchant risk, transaction monitoring, fraud risk, and abnormal fund flow scenarios.
- Conduct risk assessments for new products, business models, and process changes, and provide practical mitigation recommendations to support launch and implementation decisions.
- Monitor and analyze key payment risk typologies, including transaction splitting, false trade, suspicious or abnormal fund flows, regulatory-sensitive scenarios, and fraud-related activities.
- Prepare risk assessment reports, thematic reviews, and risk-event follow-ups, and work with cross-functional teams to close control gaps and strengthen processes.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Technology, Operations, and business teams to ensure local risk controls align with regulatory requirements, Payoneer’s global standards, and business needs.
Who you are
- Experience in cross-border payments, cross-border e-commerce, merchant risk, transaction authenticity reviews, or fraud and abnormal transaction monitoring.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, CAMS, or an equivalent credential.
- An ability to balance effective risk management with practical business needs in a complex and evolving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Risk Management, Law, Accounting, International Trade, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in risk management, payment risk, transaction monitoring, or a related role within a licensed payment institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to translate risk findings into practical controls and remediation actions.
- Strong communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
