The Retirement Strategy Consultant provides Empower workplace participants with personalized retirement, investment, and financial wellness guidance to support long-term financial success. Consultants guide participants through managed account solutions, identify referral opportunities to partner teams, and help drive positive outcomes for both participants and the business while delivering a world-class participant experience.

 

Candidates must be available to work the following Monday - Friday schedule for their location (actual schedule will be determined by business need):

 

  • Eastern Time (ET): 12:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Central Time (CT): 11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Mountain Time (MT): 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Pacific Time (PT): 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Engage participants through consultative advice and financial wellness conversations to understand needs, explore goals, and deliver actionable retirement guidance
  • Provide retirement planning support across managed accounts, savings strategies, investment allocations, and retirement income objectives
  • Manage high-volume inbound queues, scheduled appointments, and outbound campaign outreach while meeting service level and customer experience expectations
  • Identify, execute, document, and follow up on opportunities to deepen relationships, retain assets, increase assets under management, and connect participants with appropriate partner teams
  • Meet monthly performance expectations and contribute to positive participant and business outcomes through accountability, coaching, and ongoing development

 

 

What You Will Bring:

 

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, retirement planning, or advisory environments
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) required within corporate-established timelines
  • FINRA fingerprinting required
  • Openness to coaching and feedback
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
  • Positive attitude, ability to build rapport with clients, and excellent communication and planning skills to understand needs and present customer-focused solutions
  • High-performance, results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability for driving participant retention, growth in assets under management, and positive business outcomes

 

What Will Set You Apart:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fully licensed candidates preferred
  • Experience with managed account solutions and providing fiduciary advice
  • Proven ability to meet performance targets in a metric-driven environment
  • Previous experience in inbound and outbound phone roles
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation preferred
  • Proficient in or ability to quickly learn Microsoft Office products, Salesforce, and other proprietary and recordkeeping systems

Base Salary Range

$60,000.00 - $78,000.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
