THE JOB:
As a Recycling Material Handler, you will be responsible for inspecting and sorting recycled materials.  You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE: $16.29

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Sort recycled materials on all the equipment including: bailers, bottle/plastic/metals recycler and conveyor line 
• Separate cardboard and plastic from waste 
• Inspect and sort materials into designated areas according to type, size, condition, color, or paper grade 
• Sort various food sources in preparation for composting 
• Pull contaminants out of paper and/or off the floor 
• Clean recycling area with sweeping, trash removal and general cleaning 
• Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs 
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Knowledgeable of operating baler machine, bottle recycling machine and conveyor 
• Ability to perform basic math calculations 
• Must be able to work as a team and independently with little supervision 
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms 
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment 
• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail 
• Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills 
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts 
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
