We’re looking for a Machine Operator to join the team at Parkburn Quarry. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help keep our quarry operations moving safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role can be worked either full-time or part-time to suit school hours, so there’s flexibility to make it work around life outside of work too. If you’re someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a good job, and values being part of a down to earth team, this could be a great fit.
Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities
- Operate quarry plant and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Support day to day quarry production and loading activities.
- Carry out basic machine checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
- Follow site safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with the team to keep the site running smoothly.

- Experience operating heavy machinery in a quarry, civil, or similar environment.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and doing the job right.
- A reliable, team-focused approach and willingness to pitch in.
- Good communication skills and a practical, can-do attitude.
- The ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role.
