About this Project Manager / Business Analyst - Work from home, Midshift (UK) role at Twoconnect
The Project Manager / Business Analyst will research, analyse, validate and support the delivery of new business, technology, operational and product opportunities. Combining project management and business analysis responsibilities, the role will work across the R&D lifecycle from early-stage research and opportunity assessment through requirements definition, vendor evaluation, prototyping, proof of concept, MVP development and handover.
- Research markets, products, services, technologies, operating models and commercial opportunities across insurance, pet care and related industries. Conduct competitor and industry analysis to identify emerging trends, unmet needs and potential business opportunities.
- Translate research findings into actionable recommendations, testable ideas, management briefings and prioritised R&D initiatives.
- Lead business analysis activities by engaging stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives and constraints. Document processes, workflows, user journeys, business rules and functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare business requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and gap analyses, identifying relevant business, operational, technology, data and compliance considerations.
- Take ownership of projects from discovery through validation and implementation or handover. Develop project plans, manage timelines, resources, dependencies, risks and deliverables, and coordinate cross-functional teams and external providers.
- Research and evaluate vendors, technology solutions and potential partners. Assess technical, commercial and operational feasibility, including prototypes, proofs of concept and MVP initiatives, and provide recommendations on potential solutions.
- Explore opportunities involving artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI and process automation, considering data quality, privacy, security, regulatory and ethical requirements. Facilitate stakeholder workshops, support successful project handovers and capture lessons learned.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in project management, business analysis, or similar project delivery environments, with proven success delivering complex projects.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in both project management and business analysis, with the ability to take initiatives from initial concept and discovery through requirements gathering, delivery and evaluation.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate unfamiliar industries, technologies, products and business models and identify potential opportunities.
- Proven experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and solution requirements, mapping processes and translating business problems into clear, structured and testable requirements.
- Strong project management and planning capabilities, including managing scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, technical teams, external providers and vendors, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess potential solutions and balance business benefits against costs, complexity and risks.
