What You’ll Be Part Of

As Molding Team Leader, you will help lead daily molding production activities while tracking Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost indicators, following the HPS philosophy, supporting defect-free production, reducing waste, and maintaining the correct and safe production flow.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Review the production models scheduled to run during the day and ensure production aligns with quality, scheduling, and UPH requirements.
  • Track Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost indicators, including scrap metrics by area and hour-by-hour scrap performance against defined goals.
  • Establish multidisciplinary teams and implement continuous improvement actions to reduce waste and improve production performance.
  • Implement and support the quality and environmental management systems used by the company.
  • Monitor team activities, maintain order and discipline, and ensure standard daily work is carried out during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure SAA and SC requirements are established, performed, and maintained in accordance with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through established communication channels to meet customer needs and quality system requirements.
  • Participate in and support quality systems, EHSS management systems, objectives, goals, and programs.
  • Perform first-layer Layered Process Audits (LPA) and support compliance with SQDC concepts.
  • Implement and maintain 5S in the assigned work area, including cleaning routines, audits, and checklist follow-up.
  • Ensure staff rotation in critical operations such as welding when required.
  • Perform other activities assigned by the supervisor.

 

What Makes You A Strong Fit

  • At least 6 months of experience as a molding production leader.
  • Experience in the plastic manufacturing industry.
  • High school education.
  • Basic English.
  • Schedule availability and flexibility to support production needs.
  • Demonstrated values of integrity, innovation, inclusion, teamwork, respect, and excellence.

 

Bonus Points if You Have 

  • Leadership skills and ability to guide production teams.
  • Knowledge of molding process defects and plastic injection molding.
  • Change-oriented mindset, collaboration, judgment, initiative, and results orientation.
  • Knowledge of Core Tools and customer-specific requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Things To Know

  • Availability for shift change if required by the company.
  • This role is based in a manufacturing environment and requires availability to work according to assigned production schedules and operational needs.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
  • If the position requires use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle, employment may be contingent upon meeting applicable driving record requirements.
