Department Overview

This department is responsible for creating customer touchpoints through real channels and driving business growth, with a core focus on Rakuten Mobile shop operations.
The Product Strategy Group is responsible for the end-to-end design of product sales strategies-ranging from iPhones and Android devices to accessories-as well as inventory strategy. We engage with the entire product lifecycle while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

With the expansion of Rakuten Mobile shops, we are seeking talent capable of driving product sales strategies, inventory management, data analysis, and operational efficiency.

Position Details

・Planning and execution of device and accessory sales initiatives based on market trends and customer needs.

・Formulation and implementation of optimal inventory allocation strategies for stores nationwide.

・Analysis of sales and inventory data using BI tools to identify issues, and proposing/executing solutions.

・Collaboration and project promotion with internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturers, sales, marketing, and logistics departments.

・Support for the implementation of BI tools and driving the automation of routine tasks using AI and Power Automate.

Work Environment

The Product Strategy Group within the Shop Operations Section is a high-performing team of 5, including the manager. Because we are a small, elite team, each individual has significant autonomy and an environment where ideas are easily brought to life.

Mandatory Qualifications:

・Experience in driving projects and initiatives by organizing requirements and managing progress while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

・Experience in identifying issues based on analysis results and proposing improvement actions or decision-making plans to relevant departments and management.

・Practical experience in data processing, analysis, issue extraction, and reporting using Excel.

・Experience in creating reports and proposal materials for management and department heads using PowerPoint or similar tools.

For Recent Graduates (Second New Graduate):
You do not need to meet all the mandatory requirements. If you have practical experience using data analysis tools and are eager to tackle problem-solving and operational improvement through analysis, we encourage you to apply.

Desired Qualifications:

・Experience in operation and maintenance management of SQL and BI tools (Tableau, DOMO, etc.).

・Experience in operational process improvement and automation utilizing AI, Power Automate, or RPA.

・Experience in logistics-related tasks such as inventory management, demand forecasting, or SCM.

・Knowledge and practical experience with statistical approaches (regression analysis, multivariate analysis, etc.).

・Project management experience.
