ABOUT THE TEAM
The Product Owner / Senior Product Owner plays a key role within the agile GenAI & Digital Workplace team to maximize the value delivered by the Technology, Data and Operations (TDO) group to PSP’s business lines. The role collaborates across TDO and with internal stakeholders to deliver innovative products and services that improve productivity, collaboration and operational efficiency.
The Product Owner / Senior Product Owner establishes and evolves product roadmaps with the team and organizational stakeholders, prioritizes work based on business value, facilitates agile ceremonies and partners with delivery teams to continuously deliver measurable outcomes and seize untapped opportunities.
The scope and level of the position will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and demonstrated capabilities. At the Product Owner level, the incumbent manages assigned products or initiatives with guidance on complex or strategic matters. At the Senior Product Owner level, the incumbent operates with greater autonomy, leads more complex or enterprise-wide product mandates, influences senior stakeholders and provides leadership across product practices and delivery teams.
The Product Owner / Senior Product Owner also contributes to the success of the GenAI & Digital Workplace strategy by staying abreast of advanced artificial intelligence and digital technologies, proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency gains, synergies and operational benefits, and contributing to the evolution of PSP’s GenAI, digital workplace and employee enablement ecosystem.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a Product Owner or Senior Product Owner, GenAI and Digital Workplace, you’ll:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned products or initiatives and identify client needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Establish, maintain and communicate product roadmaps aligned with business priorities, the team’s strategy and PSP’s technology direction
- Manage, structure and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, user needs, risk, dependencies, capacity and technical sustainability
- Translate business needs into clear product outcomes, requirements and value hypotheses for delivery teams during agile planning and execution
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, demonstrations, backlog refinement and prioritization sessions
- Collaborate with architecture, security, data, technology and business teams to assess emerging trends and identify high-value innovation opportunities for PSP
- Document use cases, business cases, expected benefits, success measures, key milestones and delivery dependencies
- Track product performance, adoption, benefits realization and the budget allocated to the team’s initiatives
- Manage stakeholder expectations and work across TDO agile teams to address dependencies, remove delivery impediments and support timely outcomes
- Contribute to business analysis, solution definition, implementation readiness and continuous improvement
- Support responsible experimentation and adoption of GenAI, automation and digital workplace capabilities in alignment with PSP’s governance, security and risk requirements
At the Senior Product Owner level:
- Lead complex or enterprise-wide product mandates with a high degree of autonomy; shape multi-year roadmaps and investment priorities; influence senior stakeholders; navigate ambiguity and competing priorities; anticipate cross-functional risks and dependencies; and coach colleagues on product management practices
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Relevant experience working in an agile product environment:
- Product Owner: generally, five (5) years or more of relevant experience, including at least three (3) years contributing to product ownership, digital transformation or cross-functional technology initiatives
- Senior Product Owner: generally, eight (8) years or more of relevant experience, including at least five (5) years leading complex products, platforms or cross-functional digital transformation initiatives
- Experience managing product lifecycle stages, roadmaps, backlogs, business cases, delivery dependencies and benefits realization
- Experience with generative artificial intelligence, automation, machine learning, digital workplace or enterprise collaboration technologies is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into product priorities and measurable outcomes
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders in a matrix environment
- Strong active listening, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messages to technical, business and senior audiences
- For the Senior Product Owner level: demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority, lead through ambiguity, manage enterprise-level stakeholder relationships and guide others in product management practices
- Product Owner certification is an asset, such as PSPO or an equivalent designation
- Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montréal and Ottawa)
