About this Product Manager, GGC role at Flowserve

Flowserve · Onsite · Elland, United Kingdom

The Global Product Manager, GGC, is responsible for the overall strategy, growth, lifecycle management, and financial performance of an assigned product family on a global basis. Acting as the business owner for the product portfolio, this role drives market growth, profitability, innovation, and strategic execution across the organization. The role will have a heavy focus on conventional and nuclear power markets with focus on Atwood & Morrill / Hopkinsons brands.

Rather than focusing solely on technical product expertise, the Global Product Manager approaches the product portfolio as an independent business—developing and deploying product strategy, capturing customer insights, prioritizing initiatives, leading commercialization efforts, and aligning cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

The role reports to the Product Line Leader, GGC & Power

  • Business Growth & Go-to-Market strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies to increase market share and grow revenue— analyzing market trends, competitor positioning, margin performance, pricing dynamics, and sales channels.
  • Voice of Customer (VOC) & Innovation Excellence: Conduct VOC research to identify market needs, outline strategic product roadmaps, and translate customer requirements into product initiatives and commercial priorities.
  • Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration: Partner with global manufacturing, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to align product strategy, supply, operational execution, and portfolio performance.
  • Project & Timeline Execution: Work within structured, timeline-driven project frameworks to execute strategic initiatives, product enhancements, and market launch plans.
  • Data & Performance Analytics: Utilize advanced Excel data modeling and Power BI analytics to track portfolio metrics, sales funnels, and distribution performance.

  • Ability to navigate a complex global organization
  • Strong prioritization skills and sense of urgency, as well as good time management with ability to effectively work with people in different time zones
  • Results-driven mindset with eagerness to embrace and drive accountability
  • Innovative mindset, with eagerness to cultivate “outside-the-box” thinking across the team
  • Strength in leading go-to-market commercialization efforts

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 8 to 10+ years of progressive experience in product management, commercial strategy, product specialization, or technical sales within industrial valve or fluid control markets.
  • Domain Expertise: Exposure to valve manufacturing or industrial fluid motion systems (specifically Ball Valves, Plug Valves, or Isolation Valves).
  • Industry Background: Proven track record across the Power Industry. Knowledge of the Chemical, Energy, or General Industrial sectors is a plus.
  • Strategic Business Acumen: Strong ability to manage market strategy, financial modeling, and growth plans.
  • Customer Interaction: Proven track record of direct customer engagement, VOC gathering, and commercial channel support.
  • Technical & Analytical Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience interacting with or interpreting Power BI dashboards.
