Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.

The Role:
Develop and manage GM and ACDelco product portfolio to grow Parts & Accessories (P&A) business in Egypt and Africa region. Continuously improve product competitiveness, expand the approved supplier network and product offerings according to GM global guidelines.


What You'll Do:
• Handle Product development activities for Egypt & Africa
• Develop SOR (Scope of Requirements) with engineering testing & validation requirements required to initiate sourcing of new parts & accessories
• Review engineering testing and validation submitted documents to ensure compliance
• Evaluate product & supplier technical capabilities & literature
• Participate in PSA (Potential Supplier Assessment) from engineering & technical prospective
• Present country updates in global meetings for product readiness, parts progress, and new projects execution
• Support quality concerns resolution and improvement from engineering perspective
• Ensure compliance of products to specification to ensure safety, performance & durability standards
• Develop source data for product features, benefits & unique selling points (USPs)
• Study products vs competitors’ features to develop products SWOT and insights
• Design Packaging Artwork & propose packing enhancements with GM global team
• Coordinate parts change management between plant and dealer network
• Manage Online Parts Catalogues, ensuring timely and accurate reflection of all changes.
• Support Business development for parts & accessories to explore new opportunities (new market, growth opportunities, customers, partnership, products & services) in Egypt & North Africa


Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification)
Educational and Experience Background:
• Engineering university degree, preferably in Automotive or Production Mechanical Engineering.
• MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong edge for candidates who have managed supplier quality and development activities.
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive components.
• Good understanding of parts production processes and validation requirements.
